Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov together with Azerbaijan's Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev and Head of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security Ilgar Musayev have visited the technical control center for web cameras in the administrative building of the Commission, familiarizing themselves with the final preparatory work for the installation of webcams, which are critical to ensuring the transparency of the election.

The officials highlighted that the process of installation of webcams have been conducted in full compliance with the requirements of the electoral legislation, and gave their recommendations in this regard.

They emphasized that necessary steps were taken for the high level of preparedness for the holding of the presidential election, while comprehensive conditions and conducive opportunities were created for the participants of the election process. Numerous domestic and international observers, media representatives, various public institutions can freely participate in the election campaign.

The latest achievements in information and communication technologies (ICT) are also successfully applied to ensure transparency in line with international standards in the elections held in the country, which makes it possible to monitor all election-related processes from beginning to the end without interruption, ensuring free and unhampered observation, as well as providing complete transparency.

The webcams will allow the internet users both across the country and beyond, to access the official website of the Central Election Commission without any registration on the polling day and observe all the processes uninterruptedly at the polling station, including voting, counting of votes and determination of results.

The webcams have been installed at 1000 polling stations across the country.
