Those who do not see the beam in their own eyes...

Only this game was left so that they did not open it on us. The United States also accused Azerbaijan of violating religious freedom. Until now, we have not heard few absurd accusations of violation of human rights, violation of freedom of assembly of citizens, violation of some law during the election process. Of course, our state bodies, individual social and political organizations, as well as the official media have given appropriate responses to these or other remarks.

Even now, our religious freedoms and tolerance, which can be the pride of the Azerbaijani people, our state and an example for many countries of the world, have been brought to the level of "inspection". Even on the part of the United States and at a time when this country has not yet given up its claim to mediate on the issue of the normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations.

By the United States, we say that this country is one of the largest places where people are discriminated against by religion and race. Only in the last years of our independence, we have come across countless examples of such cases. But there have been no religious and racial incidents in Azerbaijan in these years. Even the religious monuments of Armenians were not touched. But even today, innocent citizens in the United States are persecuted, beaten, and brutally killed simply because of the color of their skin.

About two months ago, a black man in the United States was killed by his cellmate in the prison where he was serving his sentence. Authorities in the state of Georgia said they were investigating a "racially motivated" murder in which a man was beaten to death "because of the color of his skin." In this regard, it was stated in the criminal case: "Convict Jakes Jackson "brutally beat his cellmate with his hands and feet just because of the color of his skin, slammed his head into the toilet and killed him."

Such crimes related to racism and racism have become commonplace in the United States. The most cases of racism in this country have been committed against blacks, red-skinned people, Latin Americans, Mexicans, Asians and Jews. Martin Luther King, who exposed the "black pages" of American history and fought against slavery and racism in white America, was assassinated in 1968 because he was black. Even today, racism is "flourishing" in the United States. For example, in the spring of 2015, a black man, Michael Brown, was shot and killed by a white man, Darren Wilson. On August 21, 2020, 31-year-old African-American Treyford Pelleri was shot and killed while being detained by the police in Louisiana. Pellerin's body was shot up to 10 times. On May 25, 2020, African-American George Floyd was killed by the police in Minneapolis, USA. After this cruel crime, large-scale demonstrations against racism were held not only in the United States, but in most countries of the world. But it seems that racial and religious discrimination and double standards still prevail in this country, which considers itself to be the "cradle of democracy and freedom" and erected the Statue of Liberty in the middle of the ocean.

Now, the International Religious Freedom Commission of this country accuses Azerbaijan of not registering any facts related to the interference with the freedom of religious belief. As they say, those who do not see the beam in their own eye look for the mote in someone else's eye.

In fact, the root of the issue lies in the voluntary departure of the Karabakh Armenians from the area where they live. Not only the United States, but some countries of the West cannot accept the complete and decisive victory of Azerbaijan over Armenia. As in the history of the Karabakh conflict, they accuse us for the actions we did not do by supporting the Armenians. In this direction, official Paris is not behind Washington. France is more offended by Azerbaijan's restoration of territorial integrity and, in fact, has been left out of the mediation mission due to its own injustice.

It now appears that the US may also be denying itself the chance to mediate as a result of its baseless and completely unwarranted accusations. We don't want that. But the efforts of the United States are pulling it in this direction.

These days, Louis Bono, the chief advisor of the US State Department on Caucasus negotiations, actually visited the region and discussed the normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations with Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan.

Yesterday, the press secretary of the US embassy in Azerbaijan, Vanessa Zenji, stated that Mr. Louis Bono, the chief adviser on the Caucasus negotiations, often visits the region to discuss Washington's support for the peace process and ways to achieve a sustainable, just peace: "Mr. Bono supports the peace process holds regular talks with several key stakeholders in Armenia and Azerbaijan to support We are ready to help any process that brings peace and stability to the peoples of the South Caucasus."

But here the question arises: how? Is this how the US is looking for "ways to achieve a just peace"? Armenian leaders have repeatedly stated that they do not want to live together with Muslim Azerbaijanis. Yerevan occupied 20 percent of the land of this Muslim country for 30 years, destroyed more than 60 of our mosques, and turned our religious monuments into a pig farm. The United States did not see this and did not consider it an attack on freedom of religion. Now the Armenian population voluntarily left Karabakh, and Washington blames Azerbaijan for this. Moreover, he writes the known report to someone of Armenian origin. How can this be considered "the way to achieve a just peace"?!
