An event celebrating World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day was held in Sochi, Russia.
The gathering, organized by the “Friendship" Azerbaijan Center for Support of Compatriots, brought together Azerbaijanis living in Sochi along with their children.
Addressing the event, Chairman of the Friendship" Azerbaijan Center for Support of Compatriots Ilgar Salimov congratulated the participants on the occasion of World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day.
He emphasized the importance of this remarkable day, noting that then Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Heydar Aliyev declared December 31 as World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day on December 16, 1991.
Following the event, participants conveyed their birthday wishes to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
