Echoes of the 11 lies of Pashinyan's rule in the United States

What points does political scientist Artur Khachikyan distinguish?

As it is known, various foreign forces are busy dragging Armenia into the mire of illusion with their fat promises. This tendency is well known to the political circles of the country. And to the supporters of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. It's just that, unlike the latter, the former prefer not to be silent about it, but to talk about it. Artur Khachikyan, a doctor of political sciences of Armenian origin, political scientist of Stanford University, USA, is one of those who did not keep silent. A. Khachikyan, as he himself stated, compiled a list of false promises and tales spread by a group of grant-eating agitators in Armenia in the last few years. So, let's pay attention to what the American Armenian professor highlighted:

First. A. Khachikyan talks about the visit of Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, to Armenia. Let's remember that the trip took place in September 2022. Many political experts evaluated Pelosi's visit to Yerevan as support for the country. However, the support realized with the patronage of the Armenian lobby and diaspora organizations in the United States was of no use. This is what upsets Khachikya.

Second. The political scientist recalls French President Emmanuel Macron's statements and effective writings published in the Armenian language aimed at supporting Armenians. However, Khachikyan draws attention to Macron's statement that no sanctions will be imposed on Azerbaijan due to Armenia. It should be noted that this was the biggest disappointment of the official Yerevan and Armenian public opinion in general. Khachikyan, despite all his wonderful ideas, draws attention to the fact that Macron did not visit Armenia during "difficult days".

Third. It is known that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, as well as other officials of the country, in their speeches at various international forums, imagine Armenia as a bastion of democracy in the Caucasus. In the current situation, they create such an image that they are superior to Azerbaijan, and this superiority is a high guarantee that the world will defend Yerevan in the fight against Baku. According to Khachikyan, the disappointment of such thoughts was that the West declared Azerbaijan as its reliable partner.

Fourth. The representatives of the Armenian authorities were of the opinion that the decision of the International Court of Justice regarding the opening of the road to Lachin and the pressure of the international community would help them. Let us know that the road was open for humanitarian cargo. As for the transfer of weapons and military equipment to the region, Armenia's request was not fulfilled, Khachikyan approaches the issue not only from this aspect, but from the point of view of Armenian adventurism and expresses his anger.

The fifth. There are those who think so in Armenia - if we are not an ally of Russia and leave the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the West will help the country. A. Khachikyan, stressing that these ideas have the essence of a soap bubble, says that France is satisfied with only symbolic aid to Armenia. Azerbaijan is an official partner of Russia. However, it receives military aid from the United States.

Sixth. In the political circles of Yerevan, such a thought was formed that the West would help Armenia as well. A. Khachikyan emphasizes that the West has seriously helped Ukraine, allocated 250 billion dollars and provided the most modern weapons, but now it is leaving the country, leaving it face to face with Russia, and says that the money has already run out. In such a situation, it is naive for Armenia to expect something.

The seventh lie is related to the civilian monitoring mission of the European Union in Armenia. As it is known, the mission "anchored" on the Armenian side of the Azerbaijan-Armenia conditional border has not done anything useful so far. Therefore, the presence of European observers in the country is not evaluated in terms of security, as it was before.

The eighth. A. Khachikyan touches on the issue of the Armenian authorities sending aid to this country during the earthquake that occurred in Turkey. He says that circles close to Pashinyan's power considered the issue as a contribution to the improvement of Ankara-Iravan relations. However, "Turkey accepted aid, and then supported Azerbaijan's expulsion of Armenians from Karabakh."

Ninth. At the time, representatives of the Armenian authorities said that the West would not allow Azerbaijan to take possession of Karabakh. Of course, Khachikyan expresses the issue in terms of the West not allowing ethnic cleansing in Karabakh. He recalls the statements heard from the US State Department and the European Parliament on the current issue. He says that the Western governments could not prevent Azerbaijan's possession of Karabakh, moreover, they did not consider the departure of Karabakh Armenians from the region as ethnic cleansing.

Tenth. A. Khachikyan explains another lie of Armenian officials with the logic of sanctions. He writes that the people who joined the Pashinyan administration, as well as the government-oriented politicians, emphasized that the de-Armenianization of Karabakh would lead to the imposition of sanctions on Azerbaijan. But that didn't happen either.

Eleventh. An American political scientist of Armenian origin says that Pashinyan's circle spread the idea that Karabakh should be handed over to Azerbaijan in order to live peacefully with neighboring countries. According to him, now Karabakh has been given, but Azerbaijan also wants the enclaves back, moreover, it demands an easy way to Nakhchivan, passing through the territory of Armenia.
