Council of Elders supports Ilham Aliyev's candidacy in elections

At the general meeting held today the Council of Elders supported the candidacy of Ilham Aliyev in the presidential elections, chairman of the Council of Elders of Azerbaijan, deputy, professor Eldar Guliyev said at the general meeting of the Council.

According to Report, he noted that the organization, which has 35,000 members, considers the continuation of President Ilham Aliyev's policies a historical necessity.

Guliyev said that Ilham Aliyev, a worthy successor to the political course of national leader Heydar Aliyev, turned Azerbaijan into a strong state from a political, economic and military point of view, with authority at the international level.
