New Azerbaijan Party delegation pays visit to Vietnam

An Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Tahir Budagov has visited the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

 

During the trip, the Azerbaijani delegation visited the Mausoleum and Memorial House of Ho Chi Minh, the leader of the Vietnamese people.

 

The YAP delegation then met with Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of Vietnam Nguyen Manh Tien and with the members of the Vietnam-Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group.

 

The sides hailed the successful development of bilateral relations in various areas, adding that the two countries enjoy wide potential for deepening cooperation. They also discussed prospects for the interparliamentary ties.

 

Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Nguyen Manh Tien lauded the multifaceted and fruitful relations between Azerbaijan and Vietnam. Highlighting the importance of interparliamentary relations, Nguyen Manh Tien noted that his country attaches great importance to expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan, the leading country of the South Caucasus region.

 

Manh Tien said that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Vietnam in the global arena, especially within the international organizations, is important in terms of protecting the interests of both countries.

 

The YAP Deputy Chairman Tahir Budagov praised the active political dialogue between the two countries and fruitful cooperation within the international organizations, noting that Azerbaijan attaches special importance to the mutually beneficial cooperation with Vietnam.

 

Tahir Budagov emphasized the significant role of political parties in developing intergovernmental ties, and stressed the importance of cooperation between the New Azerbaijan Party and the Vietnamese Communist Party (VCP). He underscored that the signing of a cooperation agreement between the YAP and VCP is of historical importance, saying that the relations between the parties have reached a qualitatively new stage.

 

The YAP Deputy Chairman also briefed the Vietnamese side on the current situation in the region.
