Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with the Ambassador of Qatar Faisal bin Abdullah Hamad Al Henzab as he ends his diplomatic mission in the country.

During the meeting, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized that Azerbaijan-Qatar cooperation is based on mutual respect, support and cooperation.

He noted that the close friendship and fraternal relations between the two countries and close contacts form the basis of the two countries` political dialogue.

He expressed gratitude for Qatar's continuous support to Azerbaijan's rightful position based on international law during the past 30 years of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.

Jeyhun Bayramov stated that there were great potentials and prospects for Azerbaijan-Qatar cooperation and partnership in the fields of economy, infrastructure, trade, tourism, education, culture, media and humanitarian exchange.

The minister thanked ambassador for contribution to the development of Azerbaijan-Qatar relations and wished him success in his future activities.

Ambassador Faisal bin Abdullah Hamad Al Hinzab expressed his gratitude for the reception adding that he leaves Azerbaijan with the best impressions. He expressed his gratitude for the support from the state and government institutions and organizations of Azerbaijan during his tenure.

The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
