UN Deputy Secretary-General calls on UN member states to be active in protecting women's rights

“I call on the member countries of the Non-Aligned Movement to be active in protecting women's rights,” the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations Amina Mohammed said as she addressed the Non-Aligned Movement Conference on Advancing the Rights and Empowerment of Women held in Baku.

Speaking about increasing women's economic rights and empowering them, the UN official highlighted their potential in the areas of science, education, and technology.

She emphasized the importance of ensuring the active participation of women in society and in management.
