Sivas Republic University teacher, Professor Birnur Akkaya came to a conclusion in the research he started to prevent the spread of cancer cells, which is one of the most important factors that cause death in cancer diseases. XQ reports with reference to TRT that he has synthesized a chitosan-derived compound molecule similar to sulfatides, which prevents cancer and malignant cells from sticking to vascular surfaces and spreading.
Professor Birnur Akkaya applied to the Patent and Trademark Office of Turkey. His invention named "Sulfate-like chitosan derivative compound" has also received a national certificate.
The scientific study was also published in the International Journal Of Biological Macromolecules.
