Adil Karimli, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture, addressed the plenary session titled “Two Decades of Dialogue for Humanity: Reflecting on Lessons Learned and Forging a Path Forward” of the UNAOC Ministerial Group of Friends High-Level Meeting. The event was held as part of the 10th UNAOC Global Forum on the theme “United in peace: Restoring trust, reshaping the future - Reflecting on two decades of dialogue for humanity,” taking place on November 25-27 in Cascais, Portugal.
The forum marks the 20th anniversary of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations.
In his remarks, Adil Karimli highlighted Azerbaijan’s great contributions to the intercultural dialogue. In this vein, he also underscored the Baku Process initiated by President Ilham Aliyev in 2008, adding that Baku had hosted 6 World Forums on Intercultural Dialogue since 2011 as part of the Process.
