The Azerbaijani community in Almaty, Kazakhstan, arranged an event marking the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the Independence Day of Kazakhstan.
According to the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, representatives from Azerbaijan`s embassy, the Azerbaijani community and local residents participated in the event organized by the Association of Azerbaijanis in Kazakhstan.
The event started with the performance of the national anthems of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
Addressing the event, head of the Association of Azerbaijanis in Kazakhstan Gahraman Sadiyev congratulated the participants on both momentous events.
Representative of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Kazakhstan Anar Huseynzade, Head of the Turkic Peoples' Culture Fund Ahmet Dagduran and others highlighted the importance of these remarkable dates.
They commended the active involvement of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Kazakhstan.
