The Veterans Council of the Ochakovo-Matveevskoe administrative district of the Western Administrative Okrug of Moscow hosted an event dedicated to the establishment of the veterans` organization titled “Union of Heirs of the Great Victory named after twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Major General Hazi Aslanov”.

The organization was founded by Chairman of the Azerbaijani National Cultural Autonomy of the Ochakovo-Matveevskoye district of the Western Administrative Okrug of Moscow Ali Kazimov, member of the Information Commission of the Moscow Committee of War Veterans Irina Silina, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan National-Cultural Autonomy of the district Valentina Dubinina, representative of the All-Russian Public Organization "Labor Courage of Russia" and retired colonel of the Space Forces Chingiz Gafarov.

The event was attended by Chairman of the Veterans Council of the Ochakovo-Matveevskoe administrative district of the Western Administrative Okrug of Moscow, Rear Admiral Sergey Streltsov, Major General Valentin Kurnyshov, First Deputy Chairman of the Union of Reserve Officers of Russia Anatoly Zhuravlyov, military veterans Yashar Jafarov, Ilgar Mammadov and others.

During the gathering, the organization outlined its action plan for 2024 and reached an agreement to include the organization in the Moscow Committee of War Veterans.
