The Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) has been elected as a member of the Presidium of the Belt and Road Economic Information Partnership (BREIP) platform.

The decision was adopted at the BREIP`s meeting in Shanghai, China. Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) Vugar Aliyev attended the event.

During the meeting, President of Xinhua News Agency Fu Hua noted that the platform has become a valuable source of information, where economic news from all over the world are gathered and broadcast over the years. He said that economic news contributes to the development of entrepreneurs` business and expansion of relations between countries in this area.

The members of the Presidium Fu Hua, Vugar Aliyev and Jose Juan Sanchez presented certificates to the new members of the BREIP.

The platform was created in 2019 on the initiative of China's Xinhua News Agency and unites media outlets and think tanks from many countries around the world. AZERTAC is one of the founding members of the platform.
