Azerbaijan has been included in Russia's list of target countries for developing tourism potential in 2025.

The Russian Ministry of Economic Development, in collaboration with the Center for Strategic Studies (CSR), has identified key countries for tourism growth next year. Among these are Azerbaijan, Turkiye, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and others, as announced by Yulia Maksutova, Director of the CSR Center of International Tourism Development, during the first international aviation and tourism forum in Sochi.

"We have determined target countries for the next year in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Development: Turkey, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and certainly countries that were active this year - the Persian Gulf, China, India and Iran," Maksutova said.

The opening ceremony of Azerbaijan's tourism representation office in Russia will be held in Moscow on October 25.

The event will be attended by Fuad Naghiyev, Chairman of the Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency, representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, Moscow Mayor’s Office and the leading companies of the tourism sector.
