The Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov viewed the booth of the National Defense University and other universities within the 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition ADEX at the Baku Expo Center, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
“The Defense Minister was briefed on the success of the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev, part of the National Defense University (NDU), whose team advanced to the final stage of the TEKNOFEST 2024 technology competition in Türkiye. The Azerbaijani team participated with their TORATAN drone ZN-44 project.
In addition, the NDU's booth at the event showcased the KHILASKAR (Rescuer) drone, developed by cadets from the Military Institute. This drone secured 3rd place in the B category of the UAV competition during the TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan Aerospace and Technology Festival held in Baku in 2022,” the ministry added.
