Azerbaijan is feeling the brunt of climate change, particularly in the realm of water resources, according to Samaddin Asadov, Chairman of the Board at the Azerbaijan Space Agency (Azerkosmos).
Speaking at the Space Generation Azerbaijan (SG Azerbaijan) event in Baku, Asadov noted that, according to a research conducted by the World Resources Institute, Azerbaijan ranks 18th among nations that could face severe drought by 2040.
Asadov said that space research is one of the most effective tools in the fight against climate change.
