The 2024 edition of the “Model Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) - International Relations Academy" project is currently underway, with more than 100 young participants. The project, in partnership with the Baku-based Eurasian Regional Center of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, focuses on COP29, environmental protection, and green world issues.

In recent lectures, speakers including Mohammed Murad Al Blooshi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Azerbaijan, Manuel Lopes da Cruz, Ambassador of Brazil to Azerbaijan, Nigar Arpadarai, Deputy of the Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan and UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for COP29 Azerbaijan, and Leyla Hasanova, Youth Climate Champion for COP29 Azerbaijan, discussed topics such as leadership in climate diplomacy, challenges and opportunities toward COP30, and the role of young people in combating climate change.

The Model OIC program aims to strengthen international cooperation among young people in OIC countries while providing them with valuable knowledge and experience in diplomacy, management, and communication. Following two months of lectures, students participate in a model simulation conference of the OIC CFM Summit, with selected students representing Azerbaijan in the International Model OIC competition.

Azerbaijani students have previously represented their country in the International Model OIC competitions, showcasing their language skills, creativity, and diplomatic acumen alongside representatives from over 40 OIC member countries.
