Total housing stock of Azerbaijan’s Kalbajar city determined

The total housing stock of Kalbajar city will be 488,000 square meters, as reflected in the Master Plan for the Development of Kalbajar City by 2040, Report informs.

Of them, a large part (421,000 square meters) will be allocated to individual residential houses, and 46,000 square meters to medium-rise residential buildings. In general, it is planned to provide the population with 4,250 apartments (25 square meters per person) by 2040.

Plans are underway to construct four schools with a capacity for 960 students, four kindergartens accommodating 520 children, two hospitals with 160 beds, and a rehabilitation center with 150 beds. Additionally, the city will see the development of museums commemorating the Invasion and Victory, alongside hotels, a variety of dining establishments, and sports facilities.

According to the plan, 22 percent of the city area will consist of green spaces, so that green strips for different age and social groups will be created on the 60 hectares of land. Thus, in other cities of the country, the standard of green space per capita is 7-10 square meters, while in Kalbajar, this indicator will be 33 square meters.
