Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) Vugar Aliyev has met with Chairman of the Board, Editor-in-Chief of Egypt`s Middle East News Agency (MENA) Ali Hassan Muhammad Abdel-Baqi.
During the meeting, the sides reached an agreement to further enhance cooperation.
Vugar Aliyev underscored the increased need for reliable news sources in the changing information environment, highlighting the indisputable role of cooperation between leading news agencies.
He emphasized that combating sources spreading fake news and disinformation through social networks and artificial intelligence requires joint activity and close information exchange.
The parties also discussed trends in modern media, the influence of social media on the press, and other issues of mutual interest.
