Members of Parliamentary Assembly of Union of Belarus and Russia informed about presidential election in Azerbaijan

Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov has met with a delegation led by Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia Viktor Seliverstov.

 

Panahov emphasized that approximately 6.5 million individuals would vote in 6,537 polling stations. He noted the installation of webcams in 1000 polling stations to monitor the presidential election across the entire territory of the country.

 

During the meeting, Panahov highlighted that the snap presidential election would be held for the first time in Azerbaijan`s liberated territories, where 26 polling stations have been established for voting.

 

Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia Viktor Seliverstov underscored the importance and responsibility of the presidential election.

 

"I have observed elections in Moldova, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. Our goal is to support your country in conducting transparent election," Seliverstov added.

 

The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
