Azerbaijani ministry: No info on any damage or casualties due to quake

According to preliminary information received by the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations from the Republican Center for Seismological Service at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, on December 7, 2023, at 08:16 (GMT+4), an earthquake of magnitude 5.6 occurred in the Caspian Sea at a depth of 68 km, Report informs referring to the ministry.

 

It was noted that the earthquake was felt in the city of Baku and its environs.

 

“The Ministry of Emergency Situations did not receive information about any damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake,” reads the message.
