Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) Vugar Aliyev has met with the Patriotic War veterans of the agency - employees Mehraj Aghasiyev, Tural Isayev and Elchin Valiyev.
During the meeting, AZERTAC Chairman of Board Vugar Aliyev congratulated the employees on the Victory Day and National Flag Day, and wished them success.
The Chairman of the Board emphasized that under the leadership of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces have restored the country’s territorial integrity during the 44-day Patriotic War.
Highlighting the heroism of the sons of Azerbaijan, who wrote the glorious history, the unparalleled bravery of the Armed Forces, courage of the soldiers, and the struggle of the people, Vugar Aliyev particularly emphasized that the unshakable unity of the Azerbaijani people around their state and army led to the historic Victory. He noted that the bravery of the soldiers and officers in the military operations for ensuring the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in the Patriotic War is a source of great pride for each of us.
During the conversation, the Chairman underlined that AZERTAC widely covered the Victory Parade of the Army in the 44-day Patriotic War, and the Agency's employees prepared news and video reportage from the hot spots of the front.
Chairman of Board Vugar Aliyev recalled the correspondent of AZERTAC, Maharram Ibrahimov and the cameraman of the Azerbaijan Television (AZTV), Siraj Abishov, who were killed as a result of mine explosion while communicating to the international community the acts of vandalism committed by Armenians in the territories of Azerbaijan during the occupation, and commemorated them with deep respect.
Vugar Aliyev noted that another employee of AZERTAC Elmir Saftarov, also the participant of the Patriotic War, is among the group that is currently continuing to make reportages in the liberated territories.
During the meeting, Patriotic War veterans Mehraj Aghasiyev, Tural Isayev and Elchin Valiyev shared their memories of the warpath, and expressed their gratitude for the attention and care shown to them.
