Chairman of Caucasus Muslims Office meets with Muslim Council of Elders Secretary General

 

 

Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade has met with Secretary General of Muslim Council of Elders Mohamed Abdelsalam on the sidelines of the 21st session of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan.

 

During the meeting, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade informed Mohamed Abdelsalam about the complete restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

 

The Secretary General conveyed his congratulations on the occasion of this historic event and emphasized that no violence against the local population was registered by Azerbaijan during the anti-terrorist measures. He noted that, however, some countries and political circles still do not see or do not want to see this obvious fact using double standards with regard to this issue.

 

The sides hailed the growing influence of the Muslim Council of Elders in the international arena and its active cooperation with various international institutions, including the United Nations.

 

Mohamed Abdelsalam noted that for the first time in the history of the 28th UN Climate Change Conference, which will be held in Abu Dhabi, a religious platform is scheduled to be created under the leadership of the Muslim Council of Elders.
