Azerbaijani and Romanian energy regulators sign MoU

The Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) and the Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on April 3 to strengthen cooperation in energy regulation.

The agreement was signed by Samir Akhundov, Chairman of AERA’s Board, and George-Sergiu Niculescu, President of ANRE.

The signing ceremony was attended by Romanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vasile Soare and representatives from both regulatory authorities.

The MoU aims to enhance collaboration between AERA and ANRE, facilitating the exchange of information and best practices in energy regulation. Areas of cooperation include electricity, renewable energy, natural gas, green hydrogen, and energy infrastructure.
