Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ilhama Gadimova met with Sergiu Gherciu, Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova, who is in Baku to attend the 19th Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition and Forum – Caspian Agro Week, and the 31st Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition – InterFood Azerbaijan.

Deputy Minister Gadimova provided detailed information about the Caspian Agro exhibition, as well as the current state of Azerbaijan’s agricultural sector and existing state support mechanisms for agriculture.

Secretary General Sergiu Gherciu emphasized that Moldova maintains friendly relations with Azerbaijan and is interested in expanding cooperation across various fields, noting significant potential for further development of partnership in the agricultural sector.

The sides expressed mutual interest in deepening agrarian cooperation.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.
