The Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AFSA) conducted inspections in 83 food markets operating in the country, and the activities of four of them were suspended based on the results of monitoring, agency chairman Goshgar Tahmazli said.
Report quotes him as saying the situation in the food markets of Azerbaijan is not rosy.
"All economic entities in the animal and food markets should keep in mind that their activities are directly related to people's health. Therefore, they must comply with the requirements of the law. Otherwise, they will be subject to administrative or restrictive measures."
