Azerbaijan is 27th among 141 countries and leading among the post-Soviet countries in the quality of roads, Tahir Mirkishili, chairman of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship, said at the public hearings in the committee.
According to Report, Mirkishili said over 880 kilometers of new motor roads were laid in the country last year.
"A total of 21,000 kilometers of roads have been laid or repaired and 500 bridges have been built in the country over the past 20 years. Of them, 2,000 kilometers are in Baku," the parliament member said.
