A conference themed “Heydar Aliyev’s successful foreign policy and Azerbaijan’s new oil strategy” was held at ADA University as part of the Year of Heydar Aliyev, Report informs, citing the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).

Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Department of Foreign Policy of the Presidential Administration, Hikmat Hajiyev, the Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, President of SOCAR, Rovshan Najaf, as well as rectors of higher education institutions where lectures were held, students, and volunteers of SOCAR participated in the conference.

Speaking at the conference, Hikmet Hajiyev noted that the foundation and strengthening of modern Azerbaijani statehood are directly related to the name of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and pointed out that after the return of the National Leader to power at the invitation of the people, the main directions of the dynamic development of the country were determined.

In his speech, the Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, talked about the strategic development concept authored by the Great Leader and one of its main directions, the strengthening of human capital, as well as the fundamental work done in the field of forming the potential of highly qualified personnel.

Emphasizing that the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has transformed modern Azerbaijan, which was established by Heydar Aliyev, into a state with inclusive development, a powerful army, and a strong international reputation, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf said that as a result of the purposeful policy of the head of the country, all areas of the economy, including the oil and gas sector, are developing rapidly, and Azerbaijan has become the leading state of the region as a reliable energy supplier.
