Azerbaijan's Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Association of Non-Governmental Non-Commercial Organizations of Uzbekistan.

The Agency also inked a Memorandum on Cooperation with the Parliamentary Commission on Management of the Public Fund to Support NGOs and Other Civil Society Institutions under the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.

The documents were signed by Executive Director of Azerbaijan's Agency for State Support to NGOs Aygun Aliyeva and Chairman of the National Association of Non-Governmental Non-Commercial Organizations of Uzbekistan Kamoliddin Ishankhojaev.

The MOUs envisage the implementation of joint projects in the field of civil society development between non-governmental and non-commercial organizations of the two countries, exchange of experience, establishment of partnerships to ensure contacts between the two countries’ NGOs, as well as development of long-term, fruitful and mutually beneficial cooperation between the parties.
