Since 2019, 350,000 new jobs have been created in the non-oil and gas sector in Azerbaijan, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said at the II Baku Forum on "Sustainable finance and investment" in Baku, XQ informs.
"This means 70,000 jobs per year, more than the closed jobs, and is the result of special steps taken to develop a strong private non-oil and gas sector in Azerbaijan," he noted.
The minister also added that in the last 20 years, the gross domestic product (GDP) in Azerbaijan has increased 4 times in real terms, and GDP per capita has increased 3.2 times.
