Chinese Minister of Transport invited to Baku-hosted COP29 meeting on "Sustainable and Digital Middle Corridor"

Azerbaijani Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev, currently visiting China, met with Li Xiaopeng, China's Minister of Transport.

The discussions during the meeting centered around the current state of relations between the two countries in the field of transport and prospects for further development, cooperation within the Middle Corridor.

The sides exchanged views on advancing the regulatory and legal framework between the two countries, as well as enhancing cooperation with the Chinese side in the fields of road and railway transport, public and air transport.

During the meeting, the Chinese Minister of Transport was invited to attend the ministerial meetings on “Sustainable and Digital Middle Corridor” and “Green Public Transport” to be held within the COP29 in Azerbaijan.

Rashad Nabiyev also met with Song Zhiyong, head of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), to explore prospects for cooperation in air transport between the two countries. During the meeting, the two reached an agreement on cooperation between the relevant working groups for a more prompt resolution of issues of mutual interest.
