Azercosmos has entered into a strategic partnership with ABS, a global satellite operator.

According to Azercosmos, the agreement was formalized at the IBC 2024, the leading content and technology event, held in Amsterdam, Netherlands, from September 13-16.

Through this partnership, Azercosmos will offer Pay TV services to customers in Nigeria and West Africa via ABS's satellite network.

Collaborating with ABS also opens new business opportunities for Azercosmos, enabling it to generate additional revenue not only from its own satellite resources but by commercializing satellite services from global partners. This partnership will further expand and enhance Azercosmos' video service offerings in the African market.

“This collaboration creates new commercial opportunities across multiple areas and will further strengthen our services in the African region. Our focus will be on quality, customer satisfaction, and sustainability in our joint efforts with ABS,” said Fuad Aslanov, Vice-Chairman of Azercosmos.

“This partnership is a significant step forward in expanding both our reach and service offerings in the West African market. By working together with Azercosmos, we’re combining expertise to deliver enhanced satellite solutions that meet the growing demand for reliable and high-quality Pay TV services in the region,” said Ramsey Khanfour, Chief Commercial Officer of ABS.
