Miroslav Klose has been named as the new head coach of Bundesliga 2 side FC Nurnberg, according to Sky Sports.
Klose is Germany’s all-time leading goalscorer with 71 in 137 international appearances and is also the all-time leading scorer at World Cup finals tournaments with 16.
His coaching career has taken in stints with the national team as an assistant, at Bayern Munich in a U17 role and then as assistant to Hansi Flick, and most recently in Austria with Bundesliga club Rheindorf Altach.
Klose takes over a role left vacant when Cristian Fiel departed for Hertha Berlin.
