Italy's annual inflation rate rose to 1.7% in February 2024, up from 1.5% in January, according to ANSA.
"The increase of the growth on annual basis of the all-item index was mainly due to the prices of regulated energy products (from +27.5% to +31.5%), of non-regulated energy products (from -3.0% to -1.9%), of unprocessed food (from +2.2% to +2.9%) and of processed food including alcohol (from +1.7% to +2.2%)," Istat said.
The national statistics agency said its consumer price index was up 0.2% in month-on-month terms.
