“Parliamentary diplomacy is of great importance in terms of strengthening multilateral interaction. Contemporary global processes require parliamentarians to be more actively involved in addressing global challenges. Through legislative activity, oversight mechanisms, and policies aimed at promoting peace, parliamentary diplomacy provides a unique opportunity to contribute to global security, stability, and prosperity,” said Tariq Humaid Matar Mohd Altayer, First Deputy Speaker of the Federal National Council of the UAE, as he addressed the 15th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) in Baku.

Within this framework, the UAE actively supports humanitarian and development initiatives. He stated, "The UAE acts as a reliable partner in many international matters. Continuing cooperation within the APA framework is of great importance."
