A new group of families has arrived in Ballija village, Khojaly district, where they were presented with the keys to their new homes.
A total of 22 families, comprising 94 individuals, have now been reunited with their homeland.
The key handover ceremony was attended by representatives from the Special Representative Office of the Azerbaijani President in the city of Khankendi, and the Aghdara and Khojaly districts, as well as officials from the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
During the event, employees of Azerbaijan’s Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) briefed the residents on the risks posed by landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXOs).
In total, 90 families (467 people) have now settled in the village.
