A meeting of the Council of Heads of State and Government of member countries of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) is planned to be held in Baku in 2026, CICA Secretary General Kairat Sarybay said in an interview with Report.
According to him, the meeting will be held during Azerbaijan's chairmanship in CICA.
The Secretary-General added that an extraordinary meeting of the CICA Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) will also be held in Baku in 2025.
"During our current visit to Baku, numerous meetings were held with the Azerbaijani side to prepare for the 2026 Summit, the extraordinary CFM meeting in 2025, and substantive planning of work for all CICA governing and advisory bodies and the Secretariat to effectively implement Azerbaijan's priorities (during its CICA chairmanship)," he stated.
