"Armenia carried out mine terrorism mainly against the civilian population."
XQ reports that this was said by Farhad Isayev, deputy director of the Education, International and Public Relations Department of the Azerbaijan Demining Agency (ANAMA), during his speech at the round table on "Protection of persons with disabilities and landmine victims in Azerbaijan" held in Baku on December 4.
According to him, in the last 32 years, 3416 people became victims of landmines: "From 2020 until now, 337 people became victims of landmines, 65 people lost their lives, 50 of them were civilians. There were 197 landmine incidents, 56 landmine incidents occurred on the former contact line. and 141 of them happened far away from the contact line, which indicates that mine terrorism was committed against the civilian population.
