Shahin Mustafayev, President of the International Turkic Academy, met with Berris Ekinci, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, in Ankara.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key areas of cooperation between the Turkic Academy and Türkiye, including broad engagement with scientific institutions and academic circles. They also paid special attention to joint research in the field of Turkology and the promotion of the shared heritage of Turkic peoples.
Academician Shahin Mustafayev provided Ambassador Berris Ekinci with a detailed overview of the Academy’s activities in 2024, highlighting the active involvement of Turkish scholars in scientific projects and the implementation of joint academic initiatives.
The head of the Academy shared plans for 2025, emphasizing the importance of further expanding academic partnerships with Türkiye.
Ambassador Berris Ekinci praised the Turkic Academy’s efforts in scientific integration, stressing its crucial role in the development of the Turkic world. She also expressed support for expanding cooperation between the Turkic Academy and Türkiye’s leading scientific and educational institutions.
The meeting was also attended by Togan Ural, Head of the General Directorate on Central Asia and the Organization of Turkic States at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, ministry diplomats and Askhat Kessikbayev, Vice President of the Turkic Academy.
