A cyber sports department has been established in the College of Technology (LPU) at the University of the Philippines in Manila, the capital of the Philippines. The educational program of this department includes hours on the computer game "Dota 2".

Training is carried out in accordance with the bachelor's program. In addition to playing Dota 2, this lesson covers a number of other subjects. Some of them focus on cyberhuman management, streaming and video game design as well as creation. Lessons in "Dota 2" will include the study of various strategies, as well as their application in practice.

"One of the notable aspects of the program is the creation of a cyber sports laboratory-arena on the territory of the university. It is designed to create an attractive environment where students can get an idea about the dynamics of the game, from the organization and management of cyber sports events to participation in them," it was noted.

It is also emphasized that LPU is not the only university in the world experimenting with progressive educational programs. An example of this is Tokyo University, which started training experts on metakainates last year.
