The board of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, has launched initiatives to attract global attention and accelerate climate action, Report informs.
Mukhtar Babayev, the COP29 President and Azerbaijan’s Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, while presenting the action plan for COP29, said that Azerbaijan is honored by the trust shown by the international community in hosting COP29.
"But we cannot solve the climate problem alone," the COP29 President noted.
Babayev called on the international community for solidarity.
These initiatives include the Baku Initiative on Climate Finance, Investment and Trade, the COP29 Green Energy Zones and Corridors Commitment, the COP29 Hydrogen Declaration, and others.
