Tel Aviv-based fusion energy innovator nT-Tao has achieved a milestone with the successful development of its Modular Energy Generator Architecture (MEGA), according to The Press Service of Israel (TPS-IL).

This high-efficiency pulsed power system is designed to deliver precise, high-power energy essential for plasma heating and magnetic coil control in fusion reactors.

Unlike traditional bulky power systems, MEGA offers a compact, scalable solution capable of delivering over 10MW/m², with a flexible frequency range and seamless integration.

“After extensive research, it became clear that no existing power electronics system could meet the unique needs of our compact fusion design that includes higher breakdown voltage, greater peak currents, faster switching times, and repeatable results,” said Oded Gour-Lavie, CEO and co-founder of nT-Tao. “Instead of retrofitting existing technology, we designed and created MEGA from the ground up—an advanced, forward-looking power architecture that allows us to meet today’s demands and seamlessly scale for future developments. This achievement underscores our team’s commitment to innovation and the pursuit of commercially viable compact fusion energy.”
