The Pakistani government on Wednesday awarded 2.5 million Rupees to an excavator operator who last month rescued a family stranded in a flood hit area of Balochistan province.

Pakistani Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, invited the rescuer Mohibullah to the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad and appreciated his courage to save the stranded family while risking his own life.

It may be recalled that a vehicle trapped in gushing flood water in a stream was rescued by Mohibullah, who risked his life to rescue seven people from the vehicle.

Besides awarding hefty amounts from the government, the Pakistani Prime Minister also announced a free-of-charge education facility up to the university level for excavator operator’s children and cost-free healthcare for his family. On this occasion the rescuer thanked the Prime Minister for acknowledging his gesture.
