Italy and Azerbaijan have long enjoyed excellent relations at both governmental and legislative levels, according to Sergio Divina, the Vice President of the Italian Institute of Asia (ISIA).
Report quotes Divina highlighted the successful development of bilateral ties in various sectors, including industry, agriculture, and engineering, where Italian and Azerbaijani companies have fostered excellent collaboration. He particularly emphasized the strategic importance of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) for Italy's national energy security.
"I believe we will continue to walk side by side, considering the development of the Middle Corridor, where we will likely cooperate in both the planning and implementation of major projects," Divina stated. "Thus, Italy and Azerbaijan are closely cooperating and will continue to interact in the future."
