A total of 26 people died, and 4,360 people were injured during the fire festival celebrations in Iran, Report informs via Mehr.
According to a chief of the Iranian emergency service, around 1,400 first aid stations worked in an enhanced mode during festivities. In Tehran alone, the firefighting services received 1,800 calls and 2 residents of the capital city died overnight.
People mostly receive burns when jumping over the bonfires and due to the improper use of fireworks.
