Hundreds of farmers on tractors and other agricultural vehicles are flocking to Prague for a protest, the Czech police said on the social network X.

"Currently, approximately 500 pieces of agricultural machinery are heading to Prague. This has not yet caused any traffic congestion," the post reads.

The farmers intend to block the main entrances to Prague as a sign of disagreement with the agricultural policies of the European Union and the Czech authorities.

According to the organizers of the action from the association "We are Farmers," neither European nor Czech politicians really take into account the concerns of agricultural producers and are leading the way to the destruction of agriculture in Europe.

At the same time, the leaders of large agricultural organizations, in particular the Agricultural Union, the Association of Private Farmers and the Agrarian Chamber, refrained from participating in the "blockade of Prague." They intend to express their protest together with colleagues from other EU countries during an action scheduled for February 22.
