Heavy rains accompanied by hurricane-force winds hit a number of provinces in the south and southwest of Türkiye, Report informs referring to the TRT TV channel.
Fooding occurred in several cities in Antalya province, but this applies to settlements remote from tourist sites. Izmir was hit hardest, where the sea overflowed its banks due to heavy rainfall.
Rainfall is expected to continue in central Türkiye in the coming hours.
