Israel didn’t transfer military weapons to the Palestinian Authority, Minister of Defense of the Jewish State, Yoav Gallant, said, Report informs referring to TASS.
"Contrary to the false information being circulated, since I took office as Israel’s Minister of Defense, I have not approved the transfer of a single package of military weapons to the Palestinian Authority. Any attempt to present the situation in any other way is a blatant lie," Gallant wrote on X.
The Israeli minister of defense made a statement against the backdrop of the publication of an investigation by journalists from the Israeli army radio Galei Zahal. According to their information, the Israeli authorities transferred to the Palestinian Authority at least 1,500 units of military weapons, including M-16 rifles with laser guidance and Kalashnikov assault rifles.
At the same time, the weapons, as stated in the media, can only be used for anti-terrorist purposes, and only representatives of the Palestinian security forces could use them. The weapons were allegedly transferred through US military bases in Jordan with the full approval of Israel, although the Jewish state had not previously ratified any application for weapons from Palestine.
