The "Evergreen" team of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) of SOCAR has won the "Junction 2024" hackathon held in Finland.
Thus, thanks to the students, Azerbaijan made history by winning a competition in Finland, where it was represented for the first time.
The "Evergreen" team includes 5th year students of the Information Security Department
Vugar Abdullayev and Ismail Mammadzade and 4th year student of the Information Security Department Gultaj Seyid. The mentor of the team is Nihad Ali, a teacher at the Department of Information Technologies.
The "Evergreen" team won the "Empowering Development Transparency" challenge organized by Fingrid and received a prize of 1,500 euros. Evergreen's Aligned project is a centralized platform that allows B2B customers to stay informed about software updates, track functional requirements, and view development milestones in real time.
Junction 2024 brought together over a thousand selected participants from around the world, representing over 80 nationalities. Over 250 projects were created within 48 hours of the event.
The team was also the winner of the “JunctionX Baku’24” event organized by EESTEC Baku with the support of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
