Ambassador of Brazil visits Baku Higher Oil School

Ambassador of Brazil to Azerbaijan Manuel Montenegro visited the Baku Higher Oil School of SOCAR (BHOS).

During a tour of the university campus, BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov provided the guest with detailed information about the modern learning conditions and research environment at Baku Higher Oil School. Touching upon the importance of cooperation in the field of education, the rector noted that BHOS graduates work at various local industrial enterprises, including those of SOCAR, and transnational companies.

“For several years now, Baku Higher Oil School has been ranked first in the country in the number of Presidential Scholarship holders. BHOS is also a leader in passing scores. Our students undergo internships in transnational oil and gas companies, including SOCAR’s enterprises. This plays a special role in their development as highly qualified English-speaking specialists.”

Elmar Gasimov also expressed BHOS’s readiness to cooperate with higher educational institutions in Brazil.

Speaking about the prospects for cooperation between BHOS and higher education institutions in Brazil, Ambassador Manuel Montenegro emphasized the importance of expanding educational ties between the two countries. The Brazilian diplomat highly appreciated the conditions created at Baku Higher Oil School.

At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador was presented with a plaque as "Guest of Honor" of Baku Higher Oil School.
